Google Stops its Voice Assistant Recordings by Default

Google announced through its blog that it will not save the audio recordings captured users default settings in its voice assistant.

Several reports have recently revealed that Google has violated user privacy by contracting outside employees to listen to audio recordings to improve its translation services.

Google had stopped work on keeping records and human review in July, after infringing on the privacy of users and the great pressure that occurred after the arrival of sensitive records under the pretext of improving its services.

According to the new Privacy Policy, just like the fact that voice recording will not be a default setting in the assistant, the company will enhance user management of its audio activities through a special tab of activity and voice recording.

It is also assumed that the company will delete the recordings that have been issued and saved by mistake in cases where the activation words of the assistant are not mentioned, such as OK Google.

It is expected to launch a new feature added to the settings of the assistant enables the user to determine the sensitivity of the response to the keywords in the context of the conversation to avoid the recordings are saved online.

Both Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri were among the voice assistance their owners used to improve their voice services by reviewing user registrations without their permission, forcing the two companies to abuse the public and change their review policies after highlighting their violation of user privacy.
