Firefox 70 protects you from social networking tracking

Mozilla has launched the new flagship version of the Firefox browser number 70, which reinforces what the previous version in terms of privacy protection from tracking sites for you, as it now prevents the tracking of social networks for you through their sites.

Mozilla has added three levels of content blocking control since the beginning of this year with version 65 such as the standard, which blocks the commonly known tracking software, and strict, which raises the level of blocking and may affect the functionality and performance of some sites, and customized, which gives you full control of what you want to block and keep.

With the previous version, protection was improved and activated by default to stop more than 2500 sites that track users.

Today, Mozilla has included protection from social networking tracking such as Firefox, Twitter and LinkedIn via their sites mutually, which means the Twitter button on LinkedIn and liking and sharing on Facebook from others.

Mozilla estimates that it has withheld more than 450 billion requests traced since July, at a rate of 10 billion withheld daily, most of which are in the background.

Firefox also gives you a privacy report by clicking on the shield icon in the address bar and choosing View Report.
