uTorrent Android App gets Dark Mode and Navigation Bar

About a month ago, BitTorrent got a new update that provided dark mode and the bottom navigation bar, and now uTorrent gets the same extensions on Android, with these changes currently available as part of uTorrent 6.1.4.

Once you update and open the app, you will notice a new uTorrent interface that offers four lower tabs:

  • Torrents.
  • the video.
  • Music.
  • Remote communication.
The first tab is probably the most used, but you now have quick access to your downloaded videos and music.

In terms of design, it is very similar to BitTorrent, except for the green touches instead of the purple ones.

As for dark mode, the app does not have its own setting, since it only follows Android native mode. This means that it works well on Android 10, and on Android 9.0 if you are using a battery saver or you have enabled the system-wide theme from the developer settings.

In turn, the app also received a wide range of fixes for some of the problems users were experiencing, as well as performance improvements.
