Your Phone app allows receiving calls from Android on Windows 10

Microsoft has made it possible to receive calls from an Android phone on the desktop, specifically Windows 10 via the Your Phone app.

Microsoft announced that Build 18999 (20H1) version of the Windows 10 operating system for Insiders subscribers, which will appear to all users after a while from now, has brought an update to the application Your Phone, which allows linking its operating system on computers with Android phones, so that the application now allows Receive calls directly on your desktop when you connect with your phone.

With this update, the user will not need to grab his phone and answer calls when they arrive while working on his Windows 10 device, even when making them, where he can answer calls and start new calls through the desktop as long as the device is connected through the application Your Phone.

However, those who want this feature will need to have phones with Android Nougat 7 or later.

As the company posted on its blog, the benefits of Your Phone will allow:

  • Answer calls via computer.
  • Make calls through the contact list in the app.
  • Reject incoming calls and send text or voice mail to the caller.
  • Access the list of recent calls, and once you press a number, it will appear on the call screen if the user wishes to make a call.
  • Transfer and make calls between your Android phone and PC seamlessly.
