Yahoo's collections have been one of the hallmarks of the Internet era in the past decade, as its messenger, but because everything in the company is dying, the fate of the group's content and publications will be similar to that as the company announced that it would delete it completely.
Yahoo or Google Groups are no longer in use today because of their decline in front of social networking groups such as Facebook, or specialized communities such as Reddit.
Considering what is published on Yahoo's largest groups of thousands of users, most of them have not had any activity for more than a year, especially with the problems of penetration of accounts and leakage of login data.
Yahoo has set December 14 as the deadline for reviewing the content of its collections and will be deleted after that to be the beginning of the cancellation of this section as well as you will not be able to add any new content after October 21.
Deleting content will include everything from files, links, images, folders, calendar, attachments, conversations to message summaries and email updates.
Yahoo wants to stop the Groups service by all means possible, apart from deleting its content, it will make it difficult to explore by turning public groups into restricted or private, and all you can do is join them if you get an invitation.
If you are an activist on Yahoo Groups you can now download your files directly from the group page or through this page after logging in to your Yahoo account and requesting data download to be sent to you via email.
